Back in 2004, the founders of Ô Chateau had a somewhat bold idea: to democratize the world of wine and oenology by making it more accessible, more dynamic, and more human.
As a pioneer of wine tourism in Paris, Ô Chateau began by offering wine tasting classes in English, before expanding into a full range of wine-related services.In 2011, the adventure took a decisive turn with the opening of the largest wine bar in Paris, just steps from the Louvre.
Nestled next to the Canopée des Halles, Ô Chateau found its home in the heart of the city, in the vibrant 1st arrondissement that embodies the revival of central Paris.

For over 20 years, Ô Chateau has been offering daily wine tastings in French and English, designed for a variety of audiences—from the simply curious to the passionate enthusiast. More than 500,000 people have attended a tasting at Ô Chateau. Each workshop is led by one of our professional sommeliers in a friendly atmosphere. Here, we talk about wine with passion, but above all in simple, accessible terms. You don't need to be an expert to enjoy yourself or learn to recognize what you like. Our tastings explore a variety of themes: major French wine regions, lesser-known appellations, food and wine pairings, and even grands crus. Through a selection of carefully chosen wines, we help you refine your tastes and better understand what's happening in your glass—always through discussion and, above all, enjoyment.
