Breakfast - pain perdu. Whoa! Now THAT got my tail-a-waggin' more than macarons. OK, the macarons are good, yes and very French. But oh, that pain perdu! Back to the "macs," I still have my pretty blue box and I even tried making them here in NY. Three tries later, I finally had a macaron worthy of a C+ So I appreciate the difficulty, not just in the technique of assembling the ingredients, but ummm... it took me three days to find almond almond flour! Laduree, in my opinion, are marketing geniuses and continue to surprise us in the new twists they give to an ordinary cookie box. They know how to realize people's aspirations...
