Not sure this otherwise brilliant post (yet again) sheds enough light on what a Parisian never doubts about, at least publicly: himself/herself.

He/she never doubts a minute that he has done or said the right thing; when others disagree, it’s obvious they miss a point, lack some elements to properly figure out what has just been said.

…Also true in the mind of the other part, if Parisian too, of course – from a non-Parisian, stating facts contradicting a Parisian is a proof of very much expected thickness, stupidity and ignorance even more than subborness.

I have learned and practiced “doubting” in the mirror so that I can appropriately convey my inner skepticism on call. I scrunch up my lips, raise my eyebrows while breathing in through my nose, staring hopelessly at the ground, and shaking my head back and forth ever so slowly.

Very true, once again you are right Olivier!
Especially when two Parisans start a relationship, things usually go like this :
“Yeah, everything is going fine, but I’m not too sure, I mean, is this going to lead to anything? And what if…?”
