2. Six nice wines (including one Champagne) will be served (always with generosity) and will help you make sense of how a Bordeaux differs from a Rhône or a Burgundy!
3. You will leave the room knowing your way around French wine and feeling much more comfortable ordering (French) wine at a restaurant.
Paris Activity Paris Activities Paris Activities Paris Activities and Fun

The perfect pre-dinner activity: the Tour de France at O Chateau!

We designed our “Tour de France” for anyone with an interest in wine. You drink wine but would like to learn more about it? You feel rather comfortable ordering Californian or Australian wine but can’t really make sense out of French wine? You know the grapes you like but would like to learn more about the French regions? You’re coming to France and feel like learning about French wine would be a good thing to do – maybe just for the sake of being able to order the wines you like at a restaurant? Then it’s time to give those feet some rest and to just sit down and have some wine!

The class starts at 5pm. You’ll be taken to our beautiful tasting room. We’ll taste six different wines, coming from 6 different regions of France. From Champagne to Bordeaux, from Sancerre to the Rhone…all you have to do is sit back and enjoy a fun and truly informative wine experience!

With a unique and refreshing approach, your sommelier will take you through a variety of themes to build up your wine knowledge. He will teach you how Champagne is made and how to taste wine properly. We’ll go together through the main wine regions of France – the grapes they grow, the style of wine they make. We’ll learn how to decode a French wine label. We’ll clarify concepts like terroir or appellation

This tasting class is both informative and fun. In just two hours, you will learn a lot, and will taste good French wines. Then at 7pm or so, we’ll let you go – vaguely tipsy maybe – for the rest of your Parisian evening!

Side note: if you wish to order a cheese plate with your tasting, it is definitely a possibility (if you like cheese, you won’t regret it, you can trust us). See add-ons section in the following pages.
