Do I need to ring and confirm my tasting?
No you don’t. If you have received your confirmation email, means you are all signed up. On the day of the tasting, we ask you to kindly ensure to be at the meeting point on time.
What is the dress code?
Super casual. Though we have noticed people like to dress up for the Wine Tasting Dinner.
What is your policy with children and teenagers?
We do not allow children under the age of 5 or so (i.e. children who have difficulties being seated quietly while maman, papa and all the others are having fun). If your children can behave, they are welcome to tag along for free. As far as teenagers go, we are happy to let them taste if the adults with them are cool with that. It is a good education and a good story for them to tell when they get back home!
My friend does not drink/is pregnant: what is your policy in that case?
Well, your non-drinking friend is welcome to tag along. Our classes are great fun and a great education too so they should have a good time too. Our classes are not free for them as they still take the space of potential paying clients, but we definitely have special discounted prices for sober people.
Is it possible to buy some wine after the tasting?
Absolutely. You can buy all of the wines you tasted. Plus many others. Sweet wines, Armagnacs, Old Vintages, legendary bottles, cheap stuff… we have it all! Just ask your sommelier and he’ll be happy tro recommend great bottles for you. You can pay cash or credit (Visa or Mastercard).
Do you take credit cards?
Yes. Visa or Mastercard. That is on our website and at the cellars. If you are signed up for the Champagne Cruise or the Visit of the vines of Montmartre (and for instance would like to take home a bottle of the world famous Clos Montmartre…), bring some cash with you as we are not equipped with a credit card terminal in these venues.
Are the tastings presented in English?
Yes they are. And good English. We are really demanding with the level of English of our sommeliers. That being said, we also have tastings and classes in French. To visualize them, just click on the French flag to access the French version of our site.
Is any food served?
Depends. Full on yes for our Wine Tasting Dinner or our Wine and Cheese Lunch. Yes also for our Wine and Chocoloate tasting. Just bread for our Introductory Tasting and Masterclasses. Nope for our Champagne Cruises and Visit of the Vineyards of Montmartre. If you’re coming to our 5pm tasting, it is customary to go hacve dinner afterwards (usual dinner time in France is between 8 and 8.30PM).
I have made a reservation but have not received a confirmation email. What’s up with that?
Once you complete the reservation process, the confirmation email is sent to you immediately and automatically. So if you have not received it, you might want to check your spam box. If there is nothing in your spam box, it’ll be safest to just send us an email to inquire about status of your reservation.
Do I need to arrive early and if so, how early?
Tastings start on time or 5 min later max. So it’s best to arrive maybe 5 to 10 minutes early, just so you have time to settle down, relax. All this is specified in your confirmation email – no worries!
