Olivier Magny is the O in O Chateau.

Olivier started O Chateau at age 23. Since then, he has taught wine to more than 50,000 people. Olivier has traveled through France, Italy, Australia, America, Argentina, Switzerland and New Zealand to taste wine. Throughout his wine career, he got taste a lot of bad wine, a lot of good ones too.

Today, Olivier splits his time between classes at O Chateau, working at O Chateau’s new wine bar, finding great wines for it, writing his books, public speaking for clients, and developing a TV series about wine. In that series (that airs in France, Australia, India, Hungary, Sweden, Turkey, etc.), Olivier goes to all the wine regions of France and guides the audience through the mysteries of local food & wine.

On top of building up O Chateau, Olivier has been a food critic for Time Out Guides in Paris. He’s worked with many Michelin-starred chefs on wine tasting dinners and original pairings. He consults for a variety of clients, ranging from Hôtel de Crillon to VentesPrivées.com or INSEAD Business School. He also consults for restaurants willing to improve their wine lists.

On the writing front, Dessine-moi un Parisien came out a few months ago in France and quickly became a best-seller. “Stuff Parisians Like” is now out in the US, the UK and Australia. The book’s been called “hilariously perceptive” by New York Magazine. On the blogging front, Olivier is also the host of award-winning video blog “Wine Rendez-Vous“.
