It all started on this website. Right here, with a blog. “Stuff Parisians Like” offered insightful articles about Parisians.
After a few months, the blog turned into a book. Both in French and in English. The book in English was released by Berkley Books and is super cool. The French version is called “Dessine-Moi un Parisien“, and, surprisingly enough, is also super cool.
It received praises from Le Point, Médiapart, Le Parisien, L’Express, Libération, France 3, Le Figaroscope, Au Féminin, France Bleue, Télématin (France 2), FHM, Grazia, Direct Matin, La Tribune de Genève, Glamour, GQ, Avantages, Le Littéraire, France Soir, Livres Hebdo, Confidentielles, Maxi, Point de Vue, Madame Figaro, La Parisienne, Le Journal d’un lecteur, Modes et Travaux, Le choix des libraires, 24 heures, Biba, Paris Hype….
Critics called it “irrésistible”, “hilarant”, “tellement drôle”, and “fort bien écrit”.
After 50,000 copies sold, the book is now officially a best-seller in France. Some people say it proves that French people do have a sense of humor. This remains to be proven.
You can purchase the book in most good bookshops in France, or get your own signed copy at O Chateau (68, rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau in the 1st) or buy it directly online: good old Amazon…
