About Stuff Parisians Like – A Paris blog by Olivier Magny

Olivier Magny of O Chateau Paris Wine TastingStuff Parisians Like“.

The idea for this blog came in the Spring of 2008 in California. I had a bunch of time on my hands and spent some of it reading priceless Stuff White People Like. This blog is a mere hommage to it, with a bit of a French twist.

Now, if you’re wondering who’s the guy writing this… Well, so… my name is Olivier Magny. I’m – suprise suprise – Parisian. Also a sommelier and the founder of Ô Chateau, Paris Wine Tasting School & Wine Bar.

I was lucky enough that my silly writings caught the attention of publishers (they too, seem to have too much time on their hands sometimes). The book revenctly came out in France first. The last think I expected was for French people to like it (I was not exactly sparing any jabs at them). But by some miraculous French something, “Dessine-moi un Parisien” became a best-seller The English version is now available: it’s called Stuff Parisians Like and it’s officially an awesome read for anyone visiting or living in Paris!

SPL being published and getting so much attention is a great honor for me and something I could never have achieved without the many kind comments of SPL readers. So MERCI, to each and everyone of you.

Cheers,

O.
